The Last?  The Best?  Will Youth lead the NEXT Travel Camp? (reflections of Travelling Horse Camp, 2016)
Travelling Horse Camp is a series of travel camps which have granted our West Georgia youth - on the tightest possible budgets - such venues as Nona Garson's The Ridge Farms (both Wellington and Tewksbury, NJ), Virginia Beach's West Neck Creek Equestrian Center, the Palm Beach Polo and Country Club, Tryon NC and Ocala's Horse Shows in the Sun (HITS).  This year brought CML's brightest stars to Freehold Raceway for a day behind the scenes, including a ride in the Pace Car for a real race, the Photo Finish booth and the race announcer's stand; the United States Equestrian Team Foundation in Gladstone, for an amazing memorial service for USET veteran, Carol Hoffman Thompson, hosted by her sister, Judy Richter; the Beach; Beacon Hill Show Stables (as featured on Animal Planet's Road to the Maclay); Walnridge Stud Farm; guests at the home of my parents, Helga and Michael Lentine;  overnight in Culpeper, VA; overnight in Charlottesville, VA; tour University of Virginia; The Barracks; Barracks Stud; Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson; the book, Divergent; lots of great music, and miles of safe, scenic travel.
