Denise C. Chase, M.Ed.
I am a teacher and a farmer by vocations, and an equestrian by advocation. My most important job is as mother to 12 year old Brian, the best son I could ever wish for! Chase Meadow Lane was founded in May, 1997. We remain committed to and motivated by our FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS and THE FARM. As small business owners, we have made many sacrifices, without any one of which we may not have made it this far. I am most grateful to our supporters who consider this their riding home! I hold a B.A. (1992) from Old Dominion University in Virginia, M.Ed.(2007) in Media and Instructional Technology. I have 9 teaching certificates. Currently, I am pursuing my Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Development, combining my passion for horses and for the traditional curriculum. I am proud to support a number of local, regional and national professional equestrian organizations, as a competitor, trainer, judge, sponsor, speaker, and spectator. My parents had a successful breeding, racing and raining stable for over 20 years. I learned much about horses and horse care growing up on the racetrack. |
I studied in my mother's hometown of Friedberg,
Germany at age 15, which I consider one of the best experiences of my
life. I was delighted to return with my son there in 2008. I
was named New Jersey Equestrian of the Year in 1986 by the Department
of Agriculture, for my knowledge of the horse industry and its many
breeds thriving in the Garden State. After 7 years in international
business (ages 19-25) I pursued graduate work in Communication and
taught at Georgia State in Atlanta. The last 15 years
have been a labor of love - of course, that's labor first! But love is seeing
a novice rider develop into a lifelong equestrian, or CML alumni on college teams, mentoring young Maclay candidates, or a great. committed, competent
staff. I also see a loving, kind, welcoming barn I am proud to call
home. We don't just have great riders. We have great people!
